Telehealth Centers of Excellence (P50)

This NOFO aims to fund P50 Centers dedicated to advancing a telehealth research agenda focused on improving primary care and outcomes in a rapidly evolving healthcare, policy, and technology environment.The Centers will focus on primary care, telehealth approaches. They will use systematic, scientific, and rigorous methods to assess these approaches’ effectiveness, acceptability, adaptation, and sustainability with respect to care goals.Each Center will include the following components: An Administrative Core, A Research Core, and a Clinical Practice Core. In addition, the Centers will be expected to conduct three studies over the award period, including one large-scale pragmatic trial and two smaller pilot studies allowing for rapid-cycle, iterative research.Centers are expected to generate and disseminate a robust evidence base for patient-centered, sustainable telehealth models of primary care delivery.
