The recipient of this funding is expected to lead the United States in promoting state, regional, and national collaboration and translation (to include tribal nations, academic institutions and other organizations) to increase capacity building for occupational safety and health (OSH) surveillance and programs. This recipient will also be expected to conduct educational and outreach activities, such as organizing conferences and webinars, to promote surveillance data for action, monitor statistical and other trends and progress over time, promote the use of multiple-source surveillance data, and leverage partnership activities that reduce work-related injuries, illnesses, exposures, and fatalities in the U.S. workforce.
