The purpose of the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) Training Program is to improve the health and well-being of children and youth with autism spectrum disorder/developmental disabilities (ASD/DD) and the behavioral health of all children and youth by increasing the number of DBP providers nationwide and building the capacity of the health care workforce to evaluate, diagnose or rule out ASD and other DD through training, research and clinical care, including provision of evidence-based interventions for children and their families.
