The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to optimize Mexican state Attorneys General Offices (AGOs) resources by ensuring Alternative Justice (AJ) mechanisms are properly and effectively implemented in cases that are subject to mediation and restorative justice. The project visions is for Alternative Justice Mechanisms to be broadly and appropriately applied throughout Mexico, thereby freeing up AGO resources and significantly decreasing impunity with respect to homicides and other high impact crime.
