Laser/Punch Programmer

We are keen to talk with experienced Laser/Punch Programmers who may be interested in joining our client's Fabrication team. The role: • Ensure that all production documentation (e.g. drawings, machine programmes) are available for use. • Ensure that flat pattern DXF profiles are developed and nested in an economical manor utilising the latest tools available. • Ensure that machines run efficiently, minimising cycle times and tooling costs. • Provide estimated production times and costs to ensure quotations can be submitted to customers in a timely manner. • Contract review of customer purchase orders in conjunction with the planner and purchaser The Candidate: Candidates should be familiar with programming using Trumpf TruTops/Boost software and comfortable interpreting engineering drawings. Applicants with the capacity to mentor others to help develop learning and development within the business will be at an advantage. The successful person will be proactive in nature and have a desire to help drive the business forward. The company is located close to the Alfreton area, the working environment is modern both in terms of buildings and equipment. Skills and Qualifications: • Ability to program and set Laser/Punch • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Good problem-solving skills and judgement. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings with a high degree of accuracy. The Position: This is a full-time permanent position. Whilst the current work pattern is day shift, it is predicted this will change to a rotating morning and afternoon shift working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (early finish on Fridays) Job Type: Permanent. Salary: £32000 - £35000/annum plus overtime / other benefits.
