Design Engineer

Our client is a thriving, engineering company who manufacture a variety of machinery, parts and components for customers all over the world. Utilising the latest equipment and technology they have an enviable reputation in the engineering sector, manufacturing to the highest quality. They employ around 90 staff at the site in King's Lynn and have a dynamic and friendly culture within the company. Due to continued success and expansion a further Design Engineer is required to join the innovation team of 7. You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering duties including designing, researching and prototyping new products utilising CAD and CAE software like Solidworks and Inventor. We are ideally looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and skills: * A creative, logical approach for generating new ideas and solutions, with the ability to transition through to part development * A sound knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) software, technical drawings and 3D modelling * An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles * A knowledge of the qualities of metals and other materials * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods * Ability to plan and organise through several project stages Salary to suit experience, 25 days plus bank holidays, contributory pension, plus other benefits Job Type: Permanent. Salary: £40000 - £50000/annum.
