CDM Consultant

Job Title: CDM Consultant Overview: One of our good clients is looking for a new member of their CDM team and they pride themselves on very prestigious building projects. They ensure the identification and elimination of foreseeable health and safety risks to projects from conception to handover, across a range of sectors, including aviation, critical systems, education, government, healthcare, industrial, lifestyle, master planning and infrastructure, residential, retail, and workplace. They have got many offices in the UK and that CDM Consultant may be located either in their London or Manchester office and it is a great opportunity for a motivated person to progress. Responsibilities: This is an excellent opportunity for a talented CDM Consultant to join the team in either Newcastle, Birmingham or London office, the successful candidate will plan, monitor and coordinate health and safety risks in the design phase of some of the most exciting construction projects in the UK. As part of expanding CDM Consultancy team, you will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, and will assist and advise clients in bringing together pre-construction information, and provide the necessary information to designers and contractors to ensure they can carry out their duties. You will also carry out health, safety and environmental inspections and audits at intervals to be agreed on projects during the construction phase, and in doing so, identify and analyse trends from injury and near miss reporting. Qualifications: Accredited with CMAPS membership with the Association for Project Safety, and demonstrating sound knowledge and experience of health and safety within a construction environment, you have strong working knowledge of the CDM regulations. You have demonstrated your ability to look at projects, and to assess how you might improve the health and safety of those that will construct, clean, maintain, use, and potentially in future, demolish the works. You possess strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, and crucially – share the company’s passion for CDM, ensuring that health and safety, sustainability and design aesthetics work hand in hand to achieve engineering excellence Job Type: Permanent. Salary: £40000 - £55000/annum healthcare and pension + bonus.
