ASSOCIATE CIVIL ENGINEER (AVIATION)

£60,000 - £70,000 per annum + plus benefits (Permanent)

Location: NEWARK

My client is looking to bring in someone to work within their Civil/Aviation team, based in their Newark office, to help expand and develop the existing team.

This is an exciting role for an individual looking to progress their career as an Associate within their industry leading aviation infrastructure team where they have an excellent reputation, offering a wealth of expertise within the in all sectors. The individual will report to the Associate Director and will directly manage a Design team. 

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered with Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) with a minimum of 10 years design experience
• Aviation infrastructure design experience using CAP 168, EASA, ICAO and military standards
• An understanding of how an airport operates (airside operations)
• Pavement design using DMG27 and FAA design standards for example FAARFIELD
• Awareness of Airfield Ground Lighting and airport infrastructure services
• Ability to contribute to fee proposals, tender submission and project interviews
• Knowledge of contracts, e.g. NEC suite of contracts and preparation of tender documents
• Knowledge of commercial and buildability requirements
• Experience of mentoring team members

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other Associates within the team, in the Airfield Ground Lighting team
• Liaise with the aviation architectural and building services teams
• Interface with both Airport clients and Contractor clients
• Client facing role, acting as a daily point of contact
• Produce design programmes, reports and specifications and monitor progress
• Manage concurrent projects 
• Assist with fee proposals, tender submissions and project interviews
