In an era where forecasts serve as crucial components for decision-making in both the public and private sectors, the accuracy and sophistication of forecasting tools have never been more important. The ability to predict future developments and understand the implications of current decisions is essential, especially in light of structural changes driven by decarbonisation efforts, as well as unprecedented challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and disruptions in energy supplies, exemplified by the cessation of Russian energy exports to the European Union.

The objective of this workshop is to foster deeper cooperation and networking among leading academic and policymaker scholars specialising in the field of economic forecasting. Our aim is to share knowledge, innovative methodologies, and cutting-edge research that can enhance the precision of forecasts and, consequently, the quality of decision-making processes.

We are seeking submissions of both applied and theoretical papers that focus on:

  • Time series analysis and its applications in economic forecasting.
  • Comprehensive macroeconomic topics and their implications for forecasting.
  • Advanced macroeconomic modelling techniques.
  • Innovative forecasting methodologies.
  • The integration and utilisation of big data in economic forecasts.

Special Emphasis:
We are particularly interested in papers that offer new insights into macroeconomic modelling, forecasting techniques, and the effective use of big data. In an effort to bolster collaboration with researchers from Central and Eastern Europe, submissions from these regions are highly encouraged.

This workshop presents a unique opportunity for scholars to present their work, engage with like-minded professionals, and contribute to the advancement of economic forecasting. Join us in shaping the future of decision-making through improved forecasting methods.
