Senior Bridge Engineer

We have an immediate need for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing structural team in Mineola.

This role is ideal for a NY PE who wants meaningful bridge and transportation exposure while maintaining versatility across broader structural projects. You’ll be trusted with leadership responsibility, direct client interaction, and visible project ownership — not just back-of-house production work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform structural analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures

• Lead bridge structural design and inspection assignments

• Serve as Lead Designer on simple to moderately complex projects

• Assist with site investigations and bridge inspections to document existing conditions

• Perform construction phase site inspections

• Prepare and review design calculations

• Assist in development of drawings and technical specifications

• Respond to RFIs and resolve field issues during construction

• Coordinate work with in-house engineering teams and architects

• Contribute across a range of infrastructure and structural assignments

What They’re Looking For

• B.S. in Structural or Civil Engineering

• 7–15 years of structural engineering experience

• New York PE required (NJ PE a plus)

• Bridge inspection experience and certification a plus

• Familiarity with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, and NJDOT standards preferred

• Strong understanding and application of structural codes

• Experience with structural analysis software

• AutoCAD required; Revit a plus

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Interest in developing a well-rounded structural skill set
