Cambridgeshire Salary 43k to 45k Plus annual leave and flexi hours /days only Monday to Friday 40 hours per week Lead Site Engineer Job Description Lead Site Engineer Reports to: Job Purpose: We have an exciting new role as a Lead Site Engineer to facilitate the engineering activities that take place on a day-to-day basis on various work sites and ensure the successful completion of the contract under your supervision. To ensure activities undertaken on sites are carried out to the highest practicable safety standards and delivered to programme. Support the demands of the growing business in liquid and powder process solution equipment, consumable supplier to the food, beverage, brewery, bakery, dairy and utility industries throughout the UK. Qualifications: Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ City & Guilds) Engineering experience including a supervisory role managing people. Working knowledge of HS&E procedures (IoSH). The Job: (Main Duties) Must come from a FMCG background , Promote our values and ensure the realisation of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures. Attending site carrying out site surveys & quotations for site Installations & remedial work. Maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with client and operations personnel, as well as sub-contractors and site representatives who are engaged by the Client. Ensure that Company and Site Procedures are adhered too. Provide, monitor and control labour, plant and materials to meet the programme. Monitor and instruct direct and subcontractor workforce, identifying training requirements and ensuring only trained, competent and authorised persons are completing assigned tasks and operating equipment/ plant. Build and develop the team to deliver all aspects of the project requirements. Deliver the project in line with the agreed work scope and requirements. Creating schedules prior to project start and project trackers during project duration. Ensure current and future work activities are planned and resources (labour, plant and material) are available. To ensure that works are being undertaken as detailed in the method statement and in accordance with the risk assessment for the task The Job: (Main Duties) Continued To ensure that permits are received and completed in accordance with site rules/regulations Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes/variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client. To maintain records of time and expenditure on site Ensure that plant, equipment and vehicle inspections are carried out, and defects are reported immediately. Interpret and apply engineering drawings. Candidate Profile: (Experience, Skills, and Knowledge) * Strong people management experience. * A multi skilled background. * Experience of planned installations and small activities. * Strong communication skills both written and verbal. * Appropriate professional mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications and training. * Thorough understanding of common mechanical and electrical systems. * Professional attitude with plenty of drive and enthusiasm. * Good IT skills including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Outlook. * Experience of installing equipment in food, beverage, brewery, bakery, dairy and utility industries. * Company Benefits: * Competitive salaries * Generous Annual Leave – 25 days of annual leave, Birthday day, plus public holidays * Pension Scheme * Company car or car allowance * Free parking Please apply with your cv Job Type: Permanent.
