This project aims to combat wildlife trafficking across Central and South Asia including India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan by deepening our knowledge and understanding of the illegal trade in species targeted for the exotic pet industry so that we can better direct interventions that increase the capacity and ability of governments to identify, interdict, investigate, and prosecute this illegal trade and dismantle the organized crime networks which support it.
