The USGS Southwest Biological Science Center (SBSC) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU Partners for research investigating bioclimatic and ecohydrological data to inform the U.S.-Mexico borderlands map classes based on phenological differences among vegetative species and landcover classes for the purpose of supporting conservation planning and management needs in the transborder region. Related to ecosystem change monitoring due to both natural and anthropogenic landcover changes, USGS seeks to measure changes in greenup and evapotranspiration using satellite images for hundred or so map classes along the transborder region that aligns with Bird Conservation Region #33 in the Sonoran and Mojave deserts.
