Funding Opportunity PA-22-255 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The primary purpose of the AHRQ Mentored Research Scientist Career Development Awards (K01) program is to help ensure that a diverse pool of highly trained scientists is available in appropriate scientific disciplines to address the Nation's health services research needs. This AHRQ program provides support and protected time to individuals with a research doctoral degree for an intensive, supervised research career development experience in health services research. The K01 award can be used both by individuals who propose to newly embark in health services research training and those who had a hiatus in their research careers because of illness or family circumstances.
