About the Faculty
The International Economics programme is offered by the Faculty of Economic Sciences - the best economic institution in Poland according to the RePEc (Research Papers in Economics) latest ranking (as of March 2023). International Economics is a two-year graduate programme, run entirely in English.
The programme is tailored so as to enable students to fluently implement advanced macro- and microeconomics theory when modelling socio-economic processes.
The alumni of the International Economics programme can obtain double degree diploma from the University of Warsaw and a foreign university that the Faculty is cooperating with.
The curriculum of the programme contains courses in both finance and economics allowing students to master topics related to advanced finance engineering in international corporations. Moreover, students programme learn how to solve trade problems and assignments using advanced econometric tools like STATA, R, MAXIMA, Python, Eviews, as well as acquire negotiations’ skills that might help them in their professional disputes
The aim of the programme is to educate international economic policy experts, advisors and executives capable of embracing the increasingly complex aspects of international trade who will play a leading role in the globalizing economy. Graduates of the programme are equipped with state-of-the art knowledge indispensable in the global economy, central banking, foreign affairs governmental bodies and development agencies, or research and non-governmental bodies. They are competitive in all areas of international economic activity as researchers, advisors, lobbyists, managers or policy makers.
The programme facilitates solid understanding of economic theory and familiarises with the newest trends in international economics. It also constitutes an excellent step towards PhD studies at leading universities in Poland and EU. With English as the language of instruction and among international fellow students and academics, the programme guarantees faster professional start in the international setting.
