Health Economics, Management and Policy (HEMAP) is a curriculum of the Laurea Magistralis in Economics and Public Policy that uniquely combines economics, management and law to form professionals who will work in private and public organizations operating in the health care sector. The Department of Economics will award 3 merit-based grants (€ 4608 gross of taxes each) for newly enrolled students in the academic year 2024/2025.

The relevance to society of health care far exceeds the increasing economic prominence of this sector in the economy. Such a relevance calls for staff and executives in health care organizations to be aware of fundamental economic trade-offs, legal and regulatory restraints, ethical concerns affecting the organizational logic in this sector.

HEMAP prepares students for staff and executive positions in companies, organizations, and institutions involved in health care provision.

The programme aims at developing strong skills and expertise in the field of health economics and policy, health care management, health law and regulations.

Students gain experience on the field through workshops, internships and active learning. They interact in a multidisciplinary environment with International students and professors and dedicated international mobility exchange opportunities.
