Our client is seeking a motivated Structural Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with 2+ years’ experience who is looking to gain more responsibility, develop quickly, and work on a wide range of creative and sustainable building projects.
Working closely with two hands-on directors and a senior engineer, the successful candidate will be part of a collaborative, agile environment that encourages innovation and career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the structural design of residential and commercial buildings
- Work on architecturally-led projects using sustainable methods and materials
- Collaborate with directors and engineers throughout the full project lifecycle
- Contribute to creative problem-solving and structural innovation
- Attend site visits, client meetings, and technical reviews
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in UK building design
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
- Strong communication and lateral thinking skills
- Interest in sustainable design, reuse of materials, and modern construction techniques
- Self-starter with ambition to grow in a supportive, fast-paced firm
