We’re partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm that’s looking to add a senior Site/Civil Engineering Leader to their team in the Metro New York City area. This is a strategic role for someone who enjoys both technical leadership and client development, with the opportunity to mentor a high-performing design team and contribute to high-impact land development projects across public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior leadership on staff planning, team growth, and project pipeline strategy.

Lead and support site/civil design and permitting for a wide range of projects including renewable energy, residential, commercial, warehouse/distribution, and mixed-use developments.

Cultivate new business and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

Provide technical oversight for site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion/sediment control, and stormwater management systems from concept to completion.

Deliver expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, LID, and SWPPP documentation.

Navigate local, county, and state permitting and land use entitlement processes—experience with NYC and NYS agencies is a plus.

Represent projects at planning boards and public hearings as needed.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Licensed PE (New York preferred, or eligible via reciprocity).

10+ years of experience in site/civil land development engineering.

Strong understanding of geotechnical and environmental integration.

Skilled in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; able to lead full site design.

Proven track record in client development and project management.

Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for site/client visits.
