Lille Economics and Management (LEM, CNRS UMR 9221) and IÉSEG School of Management invite applications for a fully funded Ph.D. position in Economics, specializing in Climate Beliefs at its Lille Campus.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The main objective of the PhD program/research project is to investigate how beliefs affect international cooperation efforts to address climate change, particularly focusing on perceptions of others’ willingness to take costly actions to tackle this global issue. The doctoral research project focuses on conducting experiments and large-scale surveys to measure individuals' attitudes toward various environmental policies and their beliefs about the acceptability of these policies. The goal is to understand whether and how misperceptions about citizens’ willingness to act may hinder European and global effort and cooperation on climate action.
