Engineering Stores Person

Are you looking for a Monday-to-Friday position that will play a critical role in a well-established Engineering function? We're looking for an Engineering Stock Controller/Stores Lead to join a business based in Hampshire. You will report to the Engineering Manager. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production downtime. In this position, you'll be a core member of the engineering team and play a crucial role in developing and managing the site's material management process. You will ensure that the correct specification and quality standards are controlled through a spares issue and receipt process. Specifically, you will take direct responsibility for the process to control stock movements. You will also be required to support engineering administration, systems, ordering, and overall budget support. You will be operating in a fast-paced environment and will need to think on your feet, we are looking for an individual that: • Has experience in the management of detailed inventories using computerised systems • Focuses on detail, is highly organised and dependable • Has analytical solid and decision-making capability • Ability to understand engineering terminology and common asset types • Can identify common engineering parts in the production line • Knowledge of Food Manufacturing Assets & Food Safety Standards • Experience with Planned Preventive Maintenance/CMMS Systems The company you would be working for is a well-established business based in Hampshire.
