This Structural Engineer role is designed for a licensed PE/SE with 4–10+ years of experience who’s ready to take on increasing project responsibility, mentor junior staff, and work closely with principals on complex structural designs.

Lead and Mentor:
Supervise designers and junior engineers, providing guidance, QA support, and technical leadership.
Hands-On Structural Design:
Perform and oversee analysis and design across steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems using applicable codes (IBC, IEBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, UFC).
Project Management Exposure:
Work directly under a principal engineer, managing workflows, coordinating deliverables, and interacting with clients and design partners.
Field & Existing Structure Work:
Participate in field surveys, document existing conditions, and evaluate structural systems for renovation, repair, or retrofit needs.
Full Contract Document Ownership:
Oversee and contribute to the production of drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
What you’ll need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (Master’s a plus)

Active PE or SE license

4–10+ years of building structures experience

Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff

Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, in-office environment
Preferred Experience:
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam

Experience with structural software such as Tekla Structural Designer, RAM Elements, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, Tedds, MathCAD
-
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Deltek Ajera)

Ability to obtain federal clearance if needed
