Geotechnical Project Manager

This Geotechnical Project Manager role offers the opportunity to take real ownership of technically challenging projects while playing a visible leadership role within a growing geotechnical practice.

You’ll lead geotechnical investigations and foundation design across transportation, commercial, residential, and industrial developments, acting as both a technical expert and project leader.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead subsurface investigations, including drilling programs and field exploration

• Interpret soil and groundwater conditions to develop practical engineering solutions

• Design shallow and deep foundations, retaining systems, and slope stabilization solutions

• Perform slope stability, settlement, and earth-retention analyses

• Review and approve geotechnical reports, calculations, and design deliverables

• Manage projects from proposal through construction support

• Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget

• Coordinate closely with civil, structural, and environmental teams

• Serve as a technical advisor and key client contact

Leadership Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff

• Review technical work and support team development and quality control

• Contribute to proposals and business development efforts

• Help grow and strengthen the geotechnical practice

What They’re Looking For

• PE Licensed Geotechnical Engineer

• 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience

• Strong experience in foundations, soils, and slope stability

• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers
