Applications are now open for the Master in Monetary and Financial Economics, offered by the Department of Economics of the University of Cyprus.
The program is designed for students who want to specialize in the areas of financial and monetary economics. It is suitable for students who are interested in a career in the financial sector, e.g., in banks, investment funds or foreign exchange firms, in the public sector, e.g., at Central Banks or the Ministry of Finance, and at any other private or public sector job that involves data analysis. The Master in Monetary and Financial Economics provides students with a general grounding in economics and econometric methods, and with specific training in finance and monetary economics. The courses offered cover material in International Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Econometrics, Banking and Monetary economics in addition to basic courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics and econometrics. The language of instruction is English and the typical duration of the program is three semesters which amounts to 15 months, from early September of the starting year to December of the following calendar year.
