Job Description
Introduction
The Engineering Department (EN) pushes forward the limits of technology to provide innovative research tools to the physics and engineering worldwide community. Within the Cooling and Ventilation (CV) group of the EN department, you will join the Methods, Store and Electrical Section (CES), which oversees the development of maintenance procedures, implementation of computerized maintenance management (CMMS), documentation management, accounting and budget reporting, spare parts store management, and electrical works.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to the Group, ensuring smooth operations in all areas of responsibility, including documentation management and CMMS. You will take the lead in managing documentation processes and the electronic documentation management system (EDMS) while you will collaborate closely with a CMMS specialist, who will oversee the CMMS area.
Functions
You will:
Update and maintain the Group’s technical documentation, including reviewing, creating, revising and organizing documentation.
Manage and configure the group’s electronic documentation management system (EDMS), and its integration with the CMMS.
Propose and implement improvements to enhance the EDMS, documentation management and CMMS processes.
Develop and maintain procedures to ensure effective, standardized documentation management and optimal use of the EDMS and CMMS systems.
Prepare and deliver training for the Group’s users on the EDMS and documentation systems.
Configure and manage user access to the EDMS, CMMS, file storage systems, and email mailing lists through dedicated IT systems.
Occasionally assist with budget reporting and follow-up tasks during staff absences
Qualifications
Higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of electromechanics / mechanics or a related field.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in the use of documentation and information management systems,
- Demonstrated experience in the use of CMMS (or EAM) systems.
Following experience would be assets:
- Initial experience in maintenance methods,
- Initial experience in any of the following systems: ventilation, compressed air production, air conditioning, cooling systems or low-voltage electrical equipment.

Language skills:
Spoken and written English: ability to understand and speak in professional contexts (level B1 min). Willingness to learn and improve French (mandatory - courses provided by CERN).
Ability to draw up technical texts in one of the two languages would be an asset.

Employment Conditions
Contract type: Limited duration contract (5 years). Subject to certain conditions, holders of limited-duration contracts may apply for an indefinite position.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Flexibility: Fully Onsite
This position involves:
- Work in Radiation Areas.
- Interventions in underground installations.
- A valid driving licence.
When required by the needs of the Organization:
- Work during nights, Sundays and official holidays,
- Stand-by duty.
