We invite submissions that explore a wide range of research areas on the theme “Navigating the New Global Economy: States, Markets, and Businesses Amid Geopolitical Disruption” and that address the complex and evolving landscape of international trade and finance. Accepted papers can elect to be assigned a discussant. In addition to paper sessions, the conference will include a keynote speech by Gian Maria Milesi-Ferretti (senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and former Deputy Director in Reserach at the IMF), PhD student workshop, conference dinner, and conference excursion.
The 2025 annual conference will take place at Fairfield University, which is located in the coastal town Fairfield, Connecticut, just one hour from New York City and 2 ½ hours from Boston. It is easily accessed by train from both New York and Boston. The Fairfield region has the largest concentration of Fortune 500 companies in the nation.

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract of original theoretical or empirical research. Abstracts should have a maximum of 1000 words, including references. Submissions should adhere to academic rigor and convey information about the context and literature, the research contribution, the methodology, and the findings, and the references should follow APA or Chicago style guidelines. Abstracts will be peer reviewed by a committee.
