The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) seeks applications that will promote U.S. state, regional, and national collaboration, education, and translation (including tribal nations, academic institutions and other organizations) to strengthen the capacity of state, tribal, local, and territorial occupational safety and health (OSH) surveillance and associated activities and programs. The recipient funded under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) will conduct communication, education, and translational practice using research and/or non-research approaches to enhance collaboration among federal, state, tribal, local, and territorial jurisdictions that implement OSH programs, and facilitate the participation in OSH surveillance and associated activities and programs by state agencies not currently supported under NIOSH state surveillance grants. The funded recipient is expected to: Lead national level coordination and collaboration of OSH surveillance and communications in coordination with federal state, tribal, local, and territorial agencies. Support the development and growth of state, tribal, local, territorial, and non-governmental (NGO) partnerships to use and promote surveillance research to practice.
