Many graduates of our MA program have landed positions in industry, government, and research institutions, or they have continued with PhD studies in the world’s leading Economics Departments in Canada or the United State. Our PhD program prepares students for the international academic job market and graduates have had high success rates in obtaining tenure-track academic appointments.

Funding for graduate student support is available from a variety of sources including scholarships, teaching-assistant appointments, and research-assistant positions. PhD students are also offered the opportunity to apply for summer teaching positions. We offer funding levels that are competitive with other graduate programs in Canada and the United States.
