This Structural Project Manager role is designed for a licensed PE/SE with 10+ years of experience in building structures—someone ready to manage full project lifecycles, supervise technical teams, and work directly with principals, clients, and design partners.
You’ll lead diverse structural projects while mentoring engineers, driving coordination, and ensuring high technical and delivery standards.

Lead Projects From Concept to Completion:
Manage all phases of assigned projects, overseeing design, coordination, scheduling, documentation, and construction support.
Supervise & Mentor:
Guide designers and engineers, review calculations and detailing, and elevate technical performance across the team.
Hands-On Structural Engineering:
Oversee analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems using IBC, IEBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, UFC, and more.
Client & Partner Coordination:
Serve as the main point of contact for architects, MEP engineers, owners, and contractors—leading meetings, resolving issues, and ensuring aligned expectations.
Construction Phase Involvement:
Participate in field surveys, review submittals, respond to contractor inquiries, and support construction observation.
Strategic Impact:
Prepare scopes of work, develop fee proposals, monitor budgets and staff hours, and report directly to firm principals.
What you’ll need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering; Master’s a plus

Active PE or SE license

10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 4+ years in project management

Experience supervising designers and engineers

Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, in-office environment
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam

Experience with Tekla Structural Designer, RAM Elements, RAM SS, RAM Concept, Tedds, MathCAD
-
Familiarity with Deltek Ajera

Ability to obtain federal clearance if needed
