Job description:
We offer a permanent research and teaching position (Maître-sse d’enseignement et de recherche) in economics and public policy located at the Institute of economic research, part of the Faculty of economics and business. The field of research specialization is open, but the successful candidate should have a demonstrated interest in sustainability research. She/he will teach 15 ECTS per year at the bachelor and master level (on average 5 periods of 45 minutes per week during the semesters). She/he will also contribute to the supervision of students at the master and PhD level and to the activities and administration of the Institute. Applications for external research funds will be actively supported.

The position is initially for four years and will be made permanent following a successful evaluation. The position does not offer the possibility for internal promotion to a professorship or a chair.
Requirements:
Candidates should have a PhD in Economics with an active track record in research as well as excellent teaching and pedagogical skills. They should have expertise in empirical analysis of economic issues. A willingness to engage with economic actors, at the national and regional levels, and good knowledge of Switzerland’s economic context will be considered as an advantage. The teaching languages are French and English, non-French speakers are expected to teach in French after
two years.
Starting date: September 1st, 2025 or to be agreed upon.
