The Department of Physics & Astronomy invites applications for two sessional positions in the September to April 2020-21 academic terms. The first position will teach 12 credit hours: 74:151 General Physics I and 74:152 General Physics II plus one associated lab session for each course, and 74:382 Intermediate Mechanics. The second position will teach 6 credit hours: one lab session per term for 74:090 Elementary Concepts of Physics, and one lab session for each of 74:151 General Physics I and 74:152 General Physics II.  Due to COVID-19, the fall term courses may need to be delivered by an alternate format (e.g. synchronous online).

 

Qualifications: For the 12 credit hour position a PhD in Physics is preferred, but candidates with a Master’s degree and successful record of teaching experience may be considered. For the 6 credit hour position a Master’s degree in Physics is preferred, but candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and successful record of teaching experience may be considered.Application Deadline: May 29, 2020, or until the position is filledStart date: August 29, 2020Salary:  $6205 for each 3 credit hour course / each lab is worth 1.5 credit hours
